Hello everyone! I’m Josy.
I’m a woman, I’m a wife, I’m a mom, I’m a leader. I’m an Afro-Latina originally from the Dominican Republic. I was born, raised, and married my high school sweetheart in Santo Domingo. We moved to New York City in the Fall of 2008. We now live in Miami.
I love connecting with people, supporting people and most importantly, partnering with people as they navigate opportunities and challenges. My purpose is to inspire others to become the best version of themselves by being the best version of myself every day, showing up to work and to life, fully and authentically. Every single person has the ability to create a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to them because all human beings are creative, resourceful and whole.
“I partner with emerging leaders, so they can become the best version of themselves and show up fully and authentically.”
The third-person point of view
Josybel has over 15 years of experience in the Human Resources field. Most recently, she joined Skyscanner as their first employee in the region. She worked on kickstarting the local operation in Miami, including leading the recruitment efforts, coordinating site construction, setting up benefits, etc. Most importantly, however, she partnered with local and global teams to create a culture of continuous improvement and growth. After that, she served as Head of Human Resources for YellowPepper. In this role, she worked closely with the c-suite executives and head of areas, to increase both teams and business performance by helping the organization to effectively set a clear vision and closely tie individual employee goals to the company’s overall strategy.
She is currently in Miami, working at Electrolux as Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for the Northern Latin American Region. Electrolux is a leading global appliance company that has shaped living for the better for more than 100 years.
Josybel’s formal education includes a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology and she attended the Professional Coach Program at the University of Miami.
